    Performance, Crafts & Visual Arts Re-enactors share lore at 'Rings' showing

    MONROE -- The lords and ladies who re-enact the Middle Ages talk about something called "The Dream." The Dream usually comes at dusk during one festival or another, when modern life fades into the 17th century. With the sun low in the sky and a pink spreading over the land, there is a distant drumbeat.

    The battles of the day are done, and the lords and ladies have returned to their houses to eat, drink and be merry.
